Ribbons were laid where iron was detected. One can see that the pattern is too perfect to be natural. The pattern 'swerves' along the length of the boat which was caused when the boat slid down the slope from its original resting place. It was impailed on a rock which distorted the internal structure much like when a car hits an object and the whole structure bends.
